Course objectives
The aim is systematic explication of selected problems of strategy and management of information systems and their discussion. Active mastering of the course content is realized through a case study of a decision support system draft / an optimization of a business process / reengineering of IS-ICT project management (alternatively).
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will be able: - to apply the principles of information management at strategic, tactical and operational levels, - to see the relationship of IS/ICT management with the enterprise's global strategy and process management, - to designe reengineering of ICT management and optimization of business processes.

The course combines traditional methods of academic teaching and innovative methods of creative and experiential learning:

group and cooperative learning, individualized instruction, critical and systems thinking, brainstorming, teaching computer-assisted
Assessment methods
Lectures, excercises and seminars in full-time study.
Managed consultations and tutorials in part-time study.
Minimal required participation is 75% on seminars in full-time study and 50% on tutorials in part-time study.
Students with lower than required participation have to fulfill additional study duties.
The subject ends with assessment and examination.
Credit will be given for correctly solved the case study.
Course completion: Unconditional requirements are the case study, its presentation, and passing the test. Student is succesfull if his test is assesed by minimal 60 points of maximum 100.

The aim is systematic explication of selected problems of strategy and management of information systems and their discussion. Active mastering of the course content is realized through a case study of a decision support system draft / an optimization of a business process / reengineering of IS-ICT project management (alternatively).

Tutorials in part-time study,
Minimal required participation is 75% on seminars in full-time study and 50% on tutorials in part-time study. Students with lower than required participation have to fulfill additional study duties.
Assessment methods
The subject ends with assessment and examination.
Examination consists of written test.
Student is succesfull if his test is assesed by minimal 65 points of maximum 100.

Výuka probíhá formou / přednášek / cvičení / seminářů / v prezenční formě studia /a řízených skupinových konzultací v kombinované formě studia.
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Rozsah povinné účasti ve výuce: Minimální povinná účast na cvičení / semináři v prezenční formě studia je 75%, na řízených skupinových konzultacích v kombinované formě studia 50%. Studentům, kteří nesplní povinný rozsah účasti, mohou být v průběhu semestru zadány dodatečné studijní povinnosti (v míře, která umožní prokázat studijní výsledky a získané kompetence nezbytné pro úspěšné zakončení předmětu). Způpsob zakončení předmětu: Vypracování seminární práce, její obhajoba a ústní zkouška.
