Cíle předmětu
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain the tasks and roles of top managers who are responsible for the decision-making process in the company management process. Students will be familiarized and learn what are the bases for strategic and operative management applicable to marketing, sales, innovation, finances and personnel management. Emphasis will be mostly put on the work of top managers working for particular company departments. Students will learn what knowledge, qualities and competencies these managers should possess. Special attention will be paid to their role during controlling activities and during company crisis management. Theoretical learning will be added with real examples from real life. The role of managers in the company management process shall also serve as repeating exercises focusing on important subjects of the BMCF field. Students may use this course as preparation for the relevant state exam. The subject shall also be viewed as the necessary base for students who will continue with the MBA studies.

Výukové metody
Lectures in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study.
The study will be performed in a form of lecturers, where the theory will be added with practical examples and real life experiences. Based on these practical examples, the student will be able to imagine and understand the factual role of top managers necessary during crisis management. The course is completed with a verbal interview/exam. The so-called individual topics will be included in the final exam.
