Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to:
- Understand the basic concepts related to knowledge management;
- Explain terms related to knowledge management;
- Use of categories of knowledge management in terms of business practice.
Syllabus
  • 1. Basic terms and concepts of knowledge management;
  • 2. The definition of knowledge management and basic concepts;
  • 3. Data, information, knowledge, wisdom;
  • 4. Knowledge and skills of extension of the concept of knowledge;
  • 5. Adaptation and learning organization;
  • 6. The nature and objectives of adaptation and learning in learning organizations;
  • 7. Adaptive models;
  • 8. Strategy based on learning organizations;
  • 9. Practical questions of knowledge management;
  • 10. Business management based on knowledge;
  • 11. Environment for the implementation of knowledge management;
  • 12. Paradoxes associated with knowledge management.

Teaching methods
The full-time study: - lecture - case studies, the combined form through group consultations. The scope of compulsory participation in education: Minimum mandatory participation in seminars / workshops in full-time study is 75%, the controlled group consultations in combined studies 50%. Students who fail to meet the mandatory level of participation may be given during the semester additional study obligations.
Assessment methods
The final assessment takes the form of tests. The test is to perform a classification of a written test which consists of 8 questions (minimum 50% points). Criterion for the oral composition is a successful answer 3 of 5 test questions Semester work is required (if it will not replace missing student attendance).
