Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will know the basic ideas and theories of insurance industry in   context. Will be able to understand and explain insurance as a "service", which is one of the   forms of protection of human society from the consequences of unforeseen incidents, marking the loss of life, health and property. Will be able to explain the basic categorization insurance from   terms of material and legal, context arising from the presence of   market premium as part of the financial market and the possibilities arising from the presence of   'Single European passport ".
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to: identify and characterize the basic features of the insurance, evaluate the significance of the insurance and explain the methods of classification; characterize the development of the legislative framework for the insurance sector; describe the factors affecting the insurance market in the Czech Republic; to analyze trends in the insurance sector in the Czech Republic and to assess the impact of foreign trends on the Czech insurance market

Teaching methods
Lectures and exercises in full-time, controlled group consultations in combined form; minimum mandatory participation in exercises in full-time studies is 75%, the controlled group consultations in combined form 50%. "Lectures using power-point presentation.
Assessment methods
In this course, students must develop a mandatory seminar work around   in the range of 5-8 pages and submit it before the test vyučujícímu.Předmět is concluded with an oral exam according to the instructions of the teacher, the   which will inform students in lectures.
