Abstract
The cultural and creative industries play a significant role in the countries of the Visegrád Group (V4), comprising the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. These industries contribute to the region's economic growth, job creation, cultural diversity, and international visibility. Firstly, the cultural and creative industries stimulate economic development by generating revenue and creating employment opportunities. They encompass a wide range of sectors, including visual arts, design, performing arts, music, film, publishing, and more. These industries foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, driving economic prosperity in the V4 countries. Secondly, these industries promote cultural diversity and cultural exchange within and outside the region. They provide platforms for artists, creators, and cultural practitioners to express their unique identities, traditions, and contemporary perspectives. The V4 countries boast rich cultural heritage, and the creative industries serve as vehicles for preserving, showcasing, and promoting this heritage globally. Furthermore, the cultural and creative sectors enhance the international visibility and reputation of the V4 countries. Through cultural events, festivals, exhibitions, and collaborations, these industries attract international visitors, tourists, and investors, creating opportunities for cultural diplomacy, networking, and cross-cultural dialogue. Lastly, the cultural and creative industries have a spillover effect on other sectors, such as tourism, hospitality, retail, and technology. They contribute to the overall attractiveness of the V4 countries, making them vibrant and culturally thriving destinations. Moreover, the creative industries foster cross-sector collaborations, leading to innovative solutions and the integration of creative approaches in various fields. In summary, the cultural and creative industries in the V4 countries are catalysts for economic growth, cultural diversity, international visibility, and interdisciplinary collaborations. They play a crucial role in shaping vibrant, dynamic societies and contributing to the overall development and identity of the region.
Abstract (in Czech)
Kulturní a kreativní průmysly mají v zemích Visegrádské skupiny (V4), kterou tvoří Česká republika, Maďarsko, Polsko a Slovensko, významnou roli. Tyto odvětví přispívají k ekonomickému růstu, tvorbě pracovních míst, kulturní rozmanitosti a mezinárodní viditelnosti regionu. Zaprvé, kulturní a kreativní průmysly podporují ekonomický rozvoj tím, že generují příjmy a vytvářejí pracovní příležitosti. Zahrnují širokou škálu sektorů, včetně výtvarného umění, designu, divadelního umění, hudby, filmu, vydavatelství a dalších. Tyto odvětví podporují inovace, podnikání a růst malých a středních podniků, což pohání ekonomickou prosperitu v zemích V4. Navíc kulturní a kreativní sektory zvyšují mezinárodní viditelnost a reputaci zemí V4. Kreativní průmysly navíc podporují spolupráci napříč sektory, což vede k inovativním řešením a integraci kreativních přístupů v různých oblastech.
