Anotace
In 2022, a method was certified in the Czech Republic for the assessment of the complexity, responsibility, and exertion of work. This methodology is binding for civil servants and civil service employees. On the other hand, it is also possible to apply the approach in the private sector. The implementation of the methodology is the starting point for basic wage/salary differentiation and determining the correct level of guaranteed pay. The methodology itself can be used to evaluate varying work positions and activities, such as the work of a jeweller, shoemaker, tailor, as well as a manufacturer in folk art production. On the other hand, the methodology is also used to evaluate the work requirements of positions such as doctors, teachers, or surveyors. The objective of the paper is to demonstrate the wide applicability of the methodology and to highlight the pitfalls of comparing manual and non-manual work.
