Oblast operativně pátrací činnosti je historicky oblastí policejních činností typických pro výkon služby kriminální policie, dnes Služby kriminální policie a vyšetřování Policie ČR. Specifické postupy prováděné především utajeným způsobem mají svá specifika, které autor článku konstatuje s tím, že odborné kriminalistické praxi předkládá souhrn informací dokládající použitelnost těchto postupů i v průběhu tzv. inspekční činnosti, a to především z pohledu specifického bezpečnostních sboru Generální inspekce bezpečnostních sborů. Zároveň autor doplňuje svou snahu o uznání této speciální policejní činnosti jako stálé kriminalisticko-taktické metody, rozšiřující okruh zvláštních způsobů dokazování.

The field of operational investigation has historically been an area of police activity typical of the criminal police, now known as the Criminal Police and Investigation Service of the Czech Police. Specific procedures carried out primarily in a covert manner have their own specific characteristics, which the author of the article states by presenting professional criminal investigation practice with a summary of information demonstrating the applicability of these procedures even during so-called inspection activities, primarily from the perspective of the specific security corps of the General Inspection of Security Corps. At the same time, the author supplements his efforts to have this special police activity recognized as a permanent criminal investigation and tactical method, expanding the range of special methods of evidence gathering.
