The paper offers an autoethnographic and historical analysis of contemporary polytheism in the Czech Republic, tracing its emergence in the late 1990s and its subsequent transformations. Drawing on insider experience, the study explores the formation, internal dynamics, and eventual dissolution of early groups such as Radhošť and Rodná víra, highlighting tensions between ethnonationalist and more inclusive spiritual orientations. Particular attention is devoted to ritual practice, leadership models, gender relations, and the impact of online communities on religious identity. The paper also examines the challenges faced by contemporary polytheist groups in seeking legal recognition and outlines possible future developments within the Czech polytheist landscape.

Prezentace nabízí autoetnografickou a historickou analýzu současného polyteismu v České republice, sleduje jeho vznik v druhé polovině 90. let a následné proměny. Na základě insiderské zkušenosti zkoumá formování, vnitřní dynamiku a postupný zánik raných skupin, jako byly Radhošť a Rodná víra, a poukazuje na napětí mezi etnonacionalistickými a inkluzivnějšími duchovními směry. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována rituální praxi, modelům vedení, genderovým vztahům a vlivu online prostředí na náboženskou identitu. Studie rovněž analyzuje obtíže, kterým současné polyteistické skupiny čelí při snaze o právní uznání, a načrtává možné budoucí směry vývoje české polyteistické scény.
