Abstract
The current trend of Italian Slavistics ignores Slavic ethnology and cultural anthropology. The limitations of this approach lies in the specialization in the study of prehistoric period, without having examined issues related to the oldest Slavic culture and their common roots with Eurasian tribes. The historian Carlo Ginzburg offers a modern attempt leading to a reassessment of historical sources, through the explaining of general cultural phenomena. This is the analysis of myths, rituals and stories occurring simultaneously in Europe, Asia and North America.
