Abstract
Abstract (in English)
The article describes the complete typology of GDP development. It analyses all possible changes of total factor productivity (I(TFP), generally intensive factors) and total input factor (I(TIF), generally extensive factors) and their impact on GDP. Each situation is characterized and termed, so that we clearly specify what happens. The typology is also compared to the previous attempts to analyze relationship between change of intensive or extensive factors and GDP. Based on our analysis, we derived dynamic parameter of intensity and extensity. This parameter of ours counts the share of the change of intensive and extensive factors on the change of GDP. The article compares the parameters to the methodology used in growth accounting. Our finding is that our parameters can be clearly interpreted, unlike the growth accounting parameters. The parameters are calculated for the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic development in the period 1990–2014. The results show that Slovakia developed in the given period intensively than the Czech Republic.
