The development of each particular science is to some extent determined by ideas about its place in the system of scientific knowledge. In this Com - munication are formulated suggestions and problems related to security research in the process of formation and development of safety science. Attention is focused on the theoretical and methodological approaches and questions exploring the needs of scientific knowledge and its transfer to a security practice.
