Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The goal of the subject is to introduce criminology as a science about criminality. Students will learn about criminological research, presentation of criminality in the media and its related statistics. Further, they will learn about etiology of criminality, its prevention and individual types of criminality.
Learning outcomes
Student will, upon completion of this course, understand:
- the basic concepts of criminology
- criminal statistics
- preventiona and control of criminality
- different types of criminality and their research.

Assessment methods
To receive credit - attendance at seminars, completion of essay (information in Learning materials).
If the presence at the seminars is less than 65%, then the student is obliged to hand in another essay. Absence due to illness is not counted.
To receive grade - multiple-choice test, which consists of 50 questions
