Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Course is orientated to the actual trends and challenges of public sector financing. It deepens the knowledge about public sector fundings and public economy. The objective of the course is to introduce students to the main instruments of different public sector financing in CR and EU countries.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to orientate themselves in the financial instruments of public sector funding in difference public sectors. They will be able to identificate the main allocation functions of different public sectors and the moyens of their funding.

  • 1. The role of government and public sector in market economy. 2. The role of the government and public sector in social policy. 3. Public sector and housing. Public expenditure to housing. 4. Family policy: child benefits, tax reductions, tax bonus. 5. Education funding, regional eductaion, research public support. 6. Public healthcare, its management and funding. 7. Culture public funding. 8. Environment policy funding. 9. Sport funding. 10. Defense policy funding. 11. Public private partnership. 12. Non-governmental organisations and their role in public economy.

Lectures and seminars in present form of study. Presentations and discussions during the seminars. Lectures and individual work in combinated form of study.
Assessment methods
Present students - active participation on lectures and seminars, discussions, specific theme presentations. Combinated students - presence on lectures, semestre theses elaboration, final written exam.
