Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to understand and explain the basic issues and current world and European history, particularly in   interwar period and after World War II
Syllabus
  • This curriculum is designed for full-time study, course of instruction for kominované study is given in the study material in the form of study support. 1 Assumptions shaping the modern Czech politics. 2 Formation of the Czech political spectrum in the   40th-50th Between XIX. century. 3 The emergence and early development of Czech political parties. 4 The ethnic dimension of Czech politics in 2nd half of the XIX. century. and 1 St.. War. 5 Social Question in   Czech. policy by 1 St.. War. 6 Czech politics in the first time   St.. War - the emergence of Czechoslovakia. 7 The political orientation of the "new" state - relations with "the neighbors",   postevení in Europe. 20th and 30 XX years. century. Differentiation of the "home" of the political spectrum. 8 Czech-German and Czech-Slovak problems. The end of the First Republic, II. Republic. 9 Protectorate, "Eastern" and "Western" Exile 2nd St.. War. 10 Nature of MS. democracy after the 2nd St.. War. February 11, 1948 and the "loss" of political life in the 50th   and 60 years. 12 Establishment of the "Federation", 1989 - extinction of the common state.

Teaching methods
Minimum compulsory seminar participation is 80% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study. Additional tasks can be given to students who fail to meet compulsory participation (to the extent that will demonstrate study achievements and acquired competencies necessary for successful completion of the course).
Assessment methods
The course is completed with a credit and a verbal examination. Active participation at the seminars is required to award a credit.
