Course objectives
After the completion of this subject a student will be able to explain and apply in practice the principles of sanctioning liability in the sphere of Administrative Law. Further, he/she will be able to understand what an administrative delict means, to distinguish among individual types of administrative delicts and, as a clerk of an administrative body, to issue a decision in a particular case.

  • 1.Concept of administrative sentencing. 2. Definition of administrative delicts and their general elements. 3. Types of administrative delicts. 4. Foundation of liability for delicts. 5. Facts of a delict 6. Competence of bodies in hearings of administrative delicts. 7. Parties to a hearing and its course. 8. Sanctions and protective treatment measures. 9. Summary proceeding and its types. 10 Other administrative delicts. 11. Administrative delicts of legal entities and natural persons pursuing the business. 12. Jurisdiction related to administrative sentencing.

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study. Minimum compulsory tutorial participation is 75% in full-time study, 50% in part-time study. Additional tasks can be given to students who fail to meet compulsory participation (to the extent that will demonstrate study achievements and acquired competencies necessary for successful completion of the course).
Assessment methods
At the end of the course a student is obliged to take an oral exam and obtain a credit from a test or seminar work. A credit is granted, if a student answers correctly 75% of the test questions (which has 12 points), or obtains a positive evaluation of his/her work consisting of more than 12 pages. An oral exam is passed successfully, if a student answers correctly two questions drawn from 21 test fields.
