Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the principles, methods and tools of information management in detail and to discussion about them. The emphasis is placed on the management of corporate information systems and its connection with the global strategy of the organization and with the management of the organizational structure. Active mastery of the subject content is realized through the development of a case study from the IT practice of a selected organization.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will be able: - to apply the principles of information management at strategic, tactical and operational levels, - to see the relationship of IS/ICT management with the enterprise's global strategy and process management, - to designe reengineering of ICT management and optimization of business processes.

Teaching methods
The course combines traditional methods of academic teaching and innovative. methods of creative and experiential learning: 1. Classic teaching methods lecture, training 2. Activating methods discussion, heuristic methods 3. Comprehensive methods group and cooperative learning, individualized instruction, critical and systems thinking, brainstorming, teaching computer-assisted.
Assessment methods
Lectures, excercises and seminars in full-time study. Managed consultations and tutorials in part-time study. Minimal required participation is 75% on seminars in full-time study and 50% on tutorials in part-time study. Students with lower than required participation have to fulfill additional study duties. The subject ends with assessment and examination. Credit will be given for correctly solved the case study. Course completion: Unconditional requirements are the case study, its presentation, and passing the test. Student is succesfull if his test is assesed by minimal 60 points of maximum 100. Scale for Assessment: 90-100 points A 80-89 points B 70-79 points C 60-69 points D 50-59 points E 0-49 points F.
