- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students in detail with the principles, methods, and tools of information management and to discuss them. The emphasis is placed on corporate information systems management and its connection with the organization's global strategy and the management of organizational structure. Active mastery of the course content is achieved through the preparation of case studies from IT practice.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion, students will be able - to apply the principles of information management at strategic, tactical and operational levels, - to see the relationship of IS/ICT management with the enterprise's global strategy and process management, - to see the connection with knowledge management and the application of artificial intelligence, - to designe reengineering of ICT management and optimization of business processes.

- Teaching methods
- The course combines traditional methods of academic teaching and innovative. methods of creative and experiential learning: 1. Classic teaching methods lecture, training 2. Activating methods discussion, heuristic methods 3. Comprehensive methods group and cooperative learning, individualized instruction, critical and systems thinking, brainstorming, teaching computer-assisted, use of artificial intelligence.
- Assessment methods
- Lectures, excercises and seminars in full-time study. Managed consultations and tutorials in part-time study. Minimal required participation is 75% on seminars in full-time study and 50% on tutorials in part-time study. Students with lower than required participation have to fulfill additional study duties. The subject ends with assessment and examination. The condition for receiving credit is a presentation by the student on a chosen topic for the course. The exam is graded based on the number of points, given by the sum of points for the presentation and the written test. Student is succesfull if his test is assesed by minimal 60 points of maximum 100. Scale for Assessment: 90-100 points A 80-89 points B 70-79 points C 60-69 points D 50-59 points E 0-49 points F.
