Course objectives
This course follows up on Corporate Financial Management 1 to introduce several advanced or special applications. On the one hand, students will be encouraged to strictly perceive and follow the universal principles, introduced and developed in the former course, on the other hand, cases will illustrate the wide-ranging contexts where finance and its instruments play a critical role in decision-making, but also facilitates the understanding of various underlying processes in the economy.

  • 1. Strategy and tactics of financing decisions (capital structure decisions, distributions to shareholders, IPOs and Investment Banking). 2. Capital Restructuring and Multinational Fin. Mgmnt. (Mergers, Divestitures, Bankrupcy, Reorganization and Liquidation, Multinational Financial Management). 3. Lease Financing and Working Capital Management (Lease Financing, Working Capital Management). 4. Risk Management and Real Options (Derivatives and Risk Management, Real Options).

Teaching methods
The subject is delivered in part-time study by 4 seminars of theory, practical examples and theory application.
