- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The development and current state of scientific knowledge at management of financial institutions in terms of Developed market economies. The definition of "financial institution". Classification of financial institutions. Typology of financial institutions. The status and importance of financial institutions in the contemporary market system . Specifics of financial institutions in terms of EU and the Czech Republic. Criteria, methods and techniques of financial decision-making at the micro level, ie mainly on the level of large and medium-sized financial institutions.
- Syllabus
- Subject contains thematic units: theoretical concept of "financial institutions"; function, status and importance of financial institutions in a market economy ; theory of financial institutions and their management; specific management of large and medium-sized financial institutions and their regulation; comprehensive theory of strategic management of financial institutions; optimizing the cost of capital in the case of inhomogeneous services (banking, insurance, leasing, etc.); strategy and tactic behavior of financial institutions.
