The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Annotation is the same for both forms of study.
Course Objective:
Students completing the course will be familiar with the basic principles and structure of the law and concepts of legal science. He will be able to understand the basic theoretical approaches to   law - especially natural law, positivistic and to a lesser extent sociology of law. He will know the argument of these guidelines will be able to understand it and apply it in professional discussions. In addition, the student will understand the basic types of sources   in   law of the Czech law. Will understand the concept of legal norms and legal relationship and will orientate oneself in   its structure. He will know the nature and functions of legal liability and the basic types of legal liability and legal offenses.
Student should be able to understand the basic legal-theoretical concepts and should be able to use them in   related legal subjects.

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study.
Students who fail to meet the mandatory level of participation may be given during the semester additional study obligations (to the extent that will demonstrate academic achievement and acquired competencies necessary for successful completion of course).
Assessment methods
The course is concluded with a credit and examination.
Credit: The criterion for granting credit is:
- Full-time: Attendance at seminars in required extend and presentation of one of texts that are uploaded in IS in learning materials.
- In combined form: Essay ralating one of the texts that are uploaded in IS in learning materials).
