- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- Deepen their knowledge of the fundamental institutions of criminal law and their interpretation when assessing the infringement in relation to potential criminal law and criminal prosecution. Manage independently by the interpretation of the most important parts of the legislation, the Penal Code and the Law on TOPO Juvenile Justice, but can no longer be processed at the professional level outputs with related questions and sounds come out. Therefore, in teaching it will focus attention only on some selected basic questions as u ~ substantive criminal law and u ~ criminal procedural law. However, with that students will be encouraged to self orientation in legislation and the drafting of legal opinions related to the application of laws practical examples.

- Successful passing of the exam from the subject.
- Syllabus
- 1. Interpretation of the fundamental principles of criminal law, their specific treatment in selected sources of criminal law and their application in practice. The second of the criminal offense and the manner of its interpretation of the different characters. Particular emphasis on species and individual objects shown in TOPO and in a special section of the Criminal Code. 3. Relationship with Criminal Code and Law no. 218/2003 Sb..Výklad and Applications Law on Juvenile Justice. The 4th stage of crime. Forms of incitement in general and in the form of a special criminal legislation follows kvalifikovatelných some constituent elements of the offenses. 5th Penalties and punishment under the Criminal Code and TOPO. Punishment by Act Juvenile Justice. 6. Detailed explanation of the basic principles of criminal procedure and their reflection in the law of criminal procedure. 7th constitutionally guaranteed rights and freedoms in criminal proceedings the context of relevant international conventions and treaties governing the matter and activity of the Constitutional Court in the area. 8. Meaning stages of criminal proceedings, the role and status of the parties and in them, including options for addressing safeguards, such as diversions, agreement on guilt and punishment, and stop the criminal proceedings. 9th evidence and proof in criminal proceedings . 10th Ordinary and extraordinary remedies, the current statutory form and the possibility of their use. 11. Current position of the victim and interested persons in criminal proceedings . 12th case law in relation to application of criminal law and procedure

- Teaching methods
- Lectures and exercises in full-controlled group consultations in combined form; minimum mandatory attendance at seminars / workshops in full-time study is 75%, on a controlled group consultations in combination with another 50%.
- Assessment methods
- The course is concluded by credit and an oral exam. The criterion for granting credit is seminar paper on a given topic (minimum 50% points) and passing a written test consisting of 30 questions (minimum 50% points). The criterion for an oral exam is successfully answering one of the 15 test questions.
