Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
At the end of the course, students will be able to understand the concept of finance management and to interpret financial analysis and planning, working capital management, capital budgeting process, and long-term financial planning.
The objective of the two-semester course is to introduce the principles of business financial management.
Learning outcomes
Student would be able to fully cover all essential topics of corporate finance as basic relationships between financial statements and their individual parameters, evaluate the financial health of the company, identify all possible ways and sources of financing, assess company's wealth, evaluate the investment, set costs of the company's capital and suggest possible ways how to optimilize the company's capital structure.

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study
Assessment methods
The course is completed by an oral exam. To register for the exam, you need to obtain the credit (zápočet) from the seminar teacher. You will be advised by the seminar teacher about the conditions of obtaining the credit.
Possibly, a written pre-term test may be offered to the students who obtain the credit before the last lecture. Passing rate is approximately 60% of those who take the test. The successful students will be given grades A, B or C and don't have to take the oral exam.
