- Cíle předmětu
- The XXI. century is obviously connected with a dramatic technological changes, specificaly with appearance of so called Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). The recent development in the informational technologies facilitates further developement of logistic processes and significant acceleration of the logistic operations. The prime aim of the subject is to provide the knowledge of the modern logistics systems and the ways of logistics implementation into the overall corporate strategy, specifically evaluating the logistics as a factor directly influencing the competitiveness and efficiency of the business entity. Methodically, the subject is focused on the problematics of the integrated logistics chains and the specifics of the transport logistics, both most frequent issues in the corporate management practise.

Outsourcing, insourcing, and strategic partnerships in logistics. Legal Regulation of Transport Logistics. Overview of international transport law – CMR, ADR, and related frameworks. Automation, smart logistics, digitalization, and future developments. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the student will: Focus on logistics processes, particularly transport logistics, in the context of business management. Understand the impact of logistics systems on a company's overall performance and efficiency. Acquire practical skills in organizing and optimizing a company's logistics system. Gain foundational expertise necessary for effective communication and negotiation with logistics service providers.

Modern teaching methods supported by technology are employed, including: Interactive lectures with active student participation, Case study analysis, Work with digital tools and online platforms, such as ChatGPT, Miro, Canva, and Pitch.com, aimed at increasing student motivation and enhancing the course’s interactivity.
- Metody hodnocení
- Final assessment – written test (open and closed questions). To be awarded credit, it is necessary to achieve 60% of possible points.
