The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Course objectives are focused on mastering professional and technical English language, systematic improvement of knowledge, skills and language habits from the viewpoint of language tools (phonetics, orthography, vocabulary and grammar) as well as language functions (both receptive and productive skills). In relation to semantic and functional focus, attention is given to general English language topics (authentic language presentation) and key professional English language topics. The course is based on the concept of teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) according to the latest methods focused on the interactivity and interdependence of all language skills. With the help of detailed interactive electronic curricula, uploaded to the intranet of the internal information system with remote access, the course helps students in autonomous learning, and allows deeper learning in harmony with their own needs and possibilities, thus assisting not only self-directed but also self-determined learning based on the theory of heutagogy. Specific learning outcomes and thematic focus are defined below.

Learning outcomes
Students will demonstrate the acquisition of complex foreign language skills and master professional competencies in their presentation of both economic and marketing topics in English fluently and spontaneously, including their ability to explain details and formulate conclusions, ideas and opinions precisely. Students will acquire the ability to read, understand, analyse, and interpret professional texts. They will master the skills of having marketing-related conversations, i.e. topics such as personal selling, ATL/BTL/TTL, media strategy, TV and radio, press and printed documents. Last but not least, students will develop the habits of their own independent learning with the synchronous support provided by the teacher and interactive electronic syllabuses uploaded on the university intranet. Simultaneously, all the above helps further self-determining direction of individual students in their English language studies.

Teaching methods
Interactive seminars in both types of study (full-time students and part-time students. Obligatory participation in interactive seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. Students who were not able to attend the seminars in the required percentage could be asked to work out additional tasks in the extent sufficiently proving their compentences necessary for successful completion of the subject.
Assessment methods
1 OBLIGATORY PARTICIPATION IN LESSONS
The extent of obligatory participation in lessons has been stipulated as follows: 75% applies in full-time study, 50% in part-time study programme.The subject is assessed based on the student's results in the Credit Test. The test testifies to the fulfilment of study obligations.

2 CREDIT TEST
Reaching the result of minimum 60 points out of 100 points (maximum) is the precondition to gain the credit. The student is entitled to one regular attempt (sit) and further resits to pass the Credit Test with the lecturer assigned to him.
Note: The students who will be convicted of fundamental violation of the Study and Examination Code while writing the Credit Test (namely the forbidden use of mobile phones, spy pen cameras etc.) will get the remark “fraud incident“ into the notepad (i.e. the loss of one attempt).

3 INSUFFICIENT ATTENDANCE In case of insufficient attendance between 75-40%, the assessment “administrative - “ will be entered into the IS and the person concerned automatically loses one attempt to sit the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet the minimum required study obligations and the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows: “absolutely insufficient attendance“ and the student will be entitled to one sit only.

4 STUDENTS WITH INDIVIDUAL STUDY PLAN The students with the approved Individual Study Plan (ISP) are obliged to get in touch with their lecturer in three weeks’ time since the beginning of the term at the very latest in order to agree alternative ways of fulfilling their study obligations due to optional attendance. In case the student verifiably neglects this obligation, the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows "non-contact ISP" and the student will lose one sit to pass the test. The students who were given the status of ISP on the course of the running term are obliged to contact lecturer assigned to them in 14 days at the very latest.

Course objectives
Course objectives are focused on mastering professional and technical English language, systematic improvement of knowledge, skills and language habits from the viewpoint of language tools (phonetics, orthography, vocabulary and grammar) as well as language functions (both receptive and productive skills). In relation to semantic and functional focus, attention is given to general English language topics (authentic language presentation) and key professional English language topics. The course is based on the concept of teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) according to the latest methods focused on the interactivity and interdependence of all language skills. With the help of detailed interactive electronic curricula, uploaded to the intranet of the internal information system with remote access, the course helps students in autonomous learning, and allows deeper learning in harmony with their own needs and possibilities, thus assisting not only self-directed but also self-determined learning based on the theory of heutagogy. Specific learning outcomes and thematic focus are defined below.
The course objectives apply to the part-time study programme as well.
Learning outcomes
Students will demonstrate the acquisition of complex foreign language skills and master professional competencies in their presentation of both economic and marketing topics in English fluently and spontaneously, including their ability to explain details and formulate conclusions, ideas and opinions precisely. Students will acquire the ability to read, understand, analyse, and interpret professional texts. They will master the skills of having marketing-related conversations, i.e. topics such as personal selling, ATL/BTL/TTL, media strategy, TV and radio, press and printed documents. Last but not least, students will develop the habits of their own independent learning with the synchronous support provided by the teacher and interactive electronic syllabuses uploaded on the university intranet. Simultaneously, all the above helps further self-determining direction of individual students in their English language studies.

Teaching methods
Interactive seminars in both types of study (full-time students and part-time students. Obligatory participation in interactive seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. Students who were not able to attend the seminars in the required percentage could be asked to work out additional tasks in the extent sufficiently proving their compentences necessary for successful completion of the subject.
Assessment methods
1 OBLIGATORY PARTICIPATION IN LESSONS
The extent of obligatory participation in lessons has been stipulated as follows: 75% applies in full-time study, 50% in part-time study programme.The subject is assessed based on the student's results in the Credit Test. The test testifies to the fulfilment of study obligations.

2 CREDIT TEST
Reaching the result of minimum 60 points out of 100 points (maximum) is the precondition to gain the credit. The student is entitled to one regular attempt (sit) and further resits to pass the Credit Test with the lecturer assigned to him.
Note: The students who will be convicted of fundamental violation of the Study and Examination Code while writing the Credit Test (namely the forbidden use of mobile phones, spy pen cameras etc.) will get the remark “fraud incident“ into the notepad (i.e. the loss of one attempt).

3 INSUFFICIENT ATTENDANCE In case of insufficient attendance between 75-40%, the assessment “administrative - “ will be entered into the IS and the person concerned automatically loses one attempt to sit the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet the minimum required study obligations and the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows: “absolutely insufficient attendance“ and the student will be entitled to one sit only.

4 STUDENTS WITH INDIVIDUAL STUDY PLAN The students with the approved Individual Study Plan (ISP) are obliged to get in touch with their lecturer in three weeks’ time since the beginning of the term at the very latest in order to agree alternative ways of fulfilling their study obligations due to optional attendance. In case the student verifiably neglects this obligation, the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows "non-contact ISP" and the student will lose one sit to pass the test. The students who were given the status of ISP on the course of the running term are obliged to contact lecturer assigned to them in 14 days at the very latest.

Course objectives
Course objectives are focused on mastering professional and technical English language, systematic improvement of knowledge, skills and language habits from the viewpoint of language tools (phonetics, orthography, vocabulary and grammar) as well as language functions (both receptive and productive skills). In relation to semantic and functional focus, attention is given to general English language topics (authentic language presentation) and key professional English language topics. The course is based on the concept of teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) according to the latest methods focused on the interactivity and interdependence of all language skills. With the help of detailed interactive electronic curricula, uploaded to the intranet of the internal information system with remote access, the course helps students in autonomous learning, and allows deeper learning in harmony with their own needs and possibilities, thus assisting not only self-directed but also self-determined learning based on the theory of heutagogy. Specific learning outcomes and thematic focus are defined below.
The course objectives apply to the part-time study programme as well.
Learning outcomes
Students will demonstrate the acquisition of complex foreign language skills and master professional competencies in their presentation of both economic and marketing topics in English fluently and spontaneously, including their ability to explain details and formulate conclusions, ideas and opinions precisely. Students will acquire the ability to read, understand, analyse, and interpret professional texts. They will master the skills of having marketing-related conversations, i.e. topics such as personal selling, ATL/BTL/TTL, media strategy, TV and radio, press and printed documents. Last but not least, students will develop the habits of their own independent learning with the synchronous support provided by the teacher and interactive electronic syllabuses uploaded on the university intranet. Simultaneously, all the above helps further self-determining direction of individual students in their English language studies.
The course learning outcomes apply to the part-time study programme as well.

Teaching methods
Interactive seminars in both types of study (full-time students and part-time students. Obligatory participation in interactive seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. Students who were not able to attend the seminars in the required percentage could be asked to work out additional tasks in the extent sufficiently proving their compentences necessary for successful completion of the subject.
Assessment methods
1 OBLIGATORY PARTICIPATION IN LESSONS
The extent of obligatory participation in lessons has been stipulated as follows: 75% applies in full-time study, 50% in part-time study programme.The subject is assessed based on the student's results in the Credit Test. The test testifies to the fulfilment of study obligations.

2 CREDIT TEST
Reaching the result of minimum 60 points out of 100 points (maximum) is the precondition to gain the credit. The student is entitled to one regular attempt (sit) and further resits to pass the Credit Test with the lecturer assigned to him.
Note: The students who will be convicted of fundamental violation of the Study and Examination Code while writing the Credit Test (namely the forbidden use of mobile phones, spy pen cameras etc.) will get the remark “fraud incident“ into the notepad (i.e. the loss of one attempt).

3 INSUFFICIENT ATTENDANCE In case of insufficient attendance between 75-40%, the assessment “administrative - “ will be entered into the IS and the person concerned automatically loses one attempt to sit the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet the minimum required study obligations and the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows: “absolutely insufficient attendance“ and the student will be entitled to one sit only.

4 STUDENTS WITH INDIVIDUAL STUDY PLAN The students with the approved Individual Study Plan (ISP) are obliged to get in touch with their lecturer in three weeks’ time since the beginning of the term at the very latest in order to agree alternative ways of fulfilling their study obligations due to optional attendance. In case the student verifiably neglects this obligation, the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows "non-contact ISP" and the student will lose one sit to pass the test. The students who were given the status of ISP on the course of the running term are obliged to contact lecturer assigned to them in 14 days at the very latest.

Teaching methods
Interactive seminars in both types of study (full-time students and part-time students. Obligatory participation in interactive seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. Students who were not able to attend the seminars in the required percentage could be asked to work out additional tasks in the extent sufficiently proving their compentences necessary for successful completion of the subject.
Assessment methods
1 OBLIGATORY PARTICIPATION IN LESSONS
The extent of obligatory participation in lessons has been stipulated as follows: 75% applies in full-time study, 50% in part-time study programme.The subject is assessed based on the student's results in the Credit Test. The test testifies to the fulfilment of study obligations.

2 CREDIT TEST
Reaching the result of minimum 60 points out of 100 points (maximum) is the precondition to gain the credit. The student is entitled to one regular attempt (sit) and further resits to pass the Credit Test with the lecturer assigned to him.
Note: The students who will be convicted of fundamental violation of the Study and Examination Code while writing the Credit Test (namely the forbidden use of mobile phones, spy pen cameras etc.) will get the remark “fraud incident“ into the notepad (i.e. the loss of one attempt).

3 INSUFFICIENT ATTENDANCE In case of insufficient attendance between 75-40%, the assessment “administrative - “ will be entered into the IS and the person concerned automatically loses one attempt to sit the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet the minimum required study obligations and the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows: “absolutely insufficient attendance“ and the student will be entitled to one sit only.

4 STUDENTS WITH INDIVIDUAL STUDY PLAN The students with the approved Individual Study Plan (ISP) are obliged to get in touch with their lecturer in three weeks’ time since the beginning of the term at the very latest in order to agree alternative ways of fulfilling their study obligations due to optional attendance. In case the student verifiably neglects this obligation, the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows "non-contact ISP" and the student will lose one sit to pass the test. The students who were given the status of ISP on the course of the running term are obliged to contact lecturer assigned to them in 14 days at the very latest.

Course objectives: 1.Mastering professional and technical English language. 2.Systematic improvement of knowledge, skills and language habits from the viewpoint of language tools (phonetics, orthography, vocabulary and grammar) as well as language functions (both receptive and productive skills). 3.Semantic and functional focus: monitoring general English language topis (authentic language presentation) + key professional English language topics (mastering presentation of economic and marketing English topics fluently and spontaneously, including the ability to explain details and express conclusions, ideas and views. The key topis are personal selling, ATL/BTL/TTL, media strategy, TV and radio, press, printed documents.. The course objectives are valid for part-time students as well.

Apart from the obligatory active participation in the seminars, the students will have to pass a written test at the end of the course which will be a precondition for gaining the CREDITS. The minimum success level is reaching 60 points out of 100 point credit test. 3. Additional study obligations: in case the student has the seminar attendance between 40-70 % (full time students), or as the case may be, between 4-6 lessons (part-time students), he/she will be evaluated „-“ and automatically loses one attempt to pass the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet additional study obligations and he/she will be assessed as "Failed" = NNN. In such a case the student will have to transfer the subject into the following term/academic year, and following the purchase of the necessary credits he/she will have again three attempts to pass the subject (to write the test). Consequently, he/she will have three new attemps to pass the subject (i.e. write a test).

Course objectives: 1.Mastering professional and technical English language. 2.Systematic improvement of knowledge, skills and language habits from the viewpoint of language tools (phonetics, orthography, vocabulary and grammar) as well as language functions (both receptive and productive skills). 3.Semantic and functional focus: monitoring general English language topis (authentic language presentation) + key professional English language topics (mastering presentation of economic and marketing English topics fluently and spontaneously, including the ability to explain details and express conclusions, ideas and views. The key topis are personal selling, ATL/BTL/TTL, media strategy, TV and radio, press, printed documents.. The course objectives are valid for part-time students as well.

Teaching methods
Interactive seminars in both types of study (full-time students and part-time students. Obligatory participation in interactive seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. Students who were not able to attend the seminars in the required percentage could be asked to work out additional tasks in the extent sufficiently proving their compentences necessary for successful completion of the subject.
Assessment methods
Assessment 1. Obligatory active participation in seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. 2. Apart from the obligatory active participation in the seminars, the students will have to pass a written test at the end of the course which will be a precondition for gaining the CREDITS. The minimum success level is reaching 60 points out of 100 point credit test. 3. Additional study obligations: in case the student has the seminar attendance between 40-70 % (full time students), or as the case may be, between 4-6 lessons (part-time students), he/she will be evaluated „-“ and automatically loses one attempt to pass the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet additional study obligations and he/she will be assessed as "Failed" = NNN. In such a case the student will have to transfer the subject into the following term/academic year, and following the purchase of the necessary credits he/she will have again three attempts to pass the subject (to write the test). Consequently, he/she will have three new attemps to pass the subject (i.e. write a test).

Course objectives
Course objectives: 1.Mastering professional and technical English language. 2.Systematic improvement of knowledge, skills and language habits from the viewpoint of language tools (phonetics, orthography, vocabulary and grammar) as well as language functions (both receptive and productive skills). 3.Semantic and functional focus: monitoring general English language topis (authentic language presentation) + key professional English language topics (mastering presentation of economic and marketing English topics fluently and spontaneously, including the ability to explain details and express conclusions, ideas and views. The key topis are personal selling, ATL/BTL/TTL, media strategy, TV and radio, press, printed documents.. The course objectives are valid for part-time students as well.

  • Tato osnova je určena pro prezenční studium, průběh výuky pro kombinované studium je uveden ve studijních materiálech formou metodického listu (ML). Obsah cvičení: 1-2 Introduction of the course. Creativity – creative design, developing creativity. Listening. (IE-UI, Unit 7). Conditionals – zero, first, second. Grammar exercises. (IE-UI, Unit 7). 3-4 Grammar – functions using if. Listening. Teaching methods
Interactive seminars in both types of study (full-time students and part-time students. Obligatory participation in interactive seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. Students who were not able to attend the seminars in the required percentage could be asked to work out additional tasks in the extent sufficiently proving their compentences necessary for successful completion of the subject.
Assessment methods
Assessment 1. Obligatory active participation in seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. 2. Apart from the obligatory active participation in the seminars, the students will have to pass a written test at the end of the course which will be a precondition for gaining the CREDITS. The minimum success level is reaching 60 points out of 100 point credit test. 3. Additional study obligations: in case the student has the seminar attendance between 40-70 % (full time students), or as the case may be, between 4-6 lessons (part-time students), he/she will be evaluated „-“ and automatically loses one attempt to pass the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet additional study obligations and he/she will be assessed as "Failed" = NNN. In this case the students will have to transfer the subject to the following term/study year, and after purchasing the necessary credits he/she will have again three attempts to gain the necessary credits to pass the subject (i.e. written test).

Course objectives (in Czech)
Úroveň A-vyšší: 1.Zaměření na obecně profesní a odborný anglický jazyk 2.Systematické zdokonalování znalostí, dovedností a návyků z hlediska jazykových prostředků (stránka fonetická, grafická, slovní zásoba a mluvnice), řeči jako fungování jazyka (dovednosti receptivní a produktivní). 3.Z hlediska sémanticko-funkčního zaměření: sledování obecných tématických okruhů (prezentace autentického jazyka) + nosných témat odborných (získání odborné kompetence prezentovat ekonomická témata v angličtině plynně a spontánně včetně schopnosti vysvětlit detaily a precizně formulovat závěry, myšlenky a názory). Úroveň B-nižší: Cíle kurzu jsou zaměřeny na praktické uplatnění absolventa a sledují osvojení lexikálních jednotek, frazeologických vazeb ekonomického jazyka, fixaci gram. struktur, porozumění přímému i reprodukovanému projevu, práci s odborným textem a zdokonalení písemného projevu. Nosnými tématy jsou profil firmy, výroba, prodej. Cíl předmětu platí i pro kombinované studium.

Teaching methods (in Czech)
Výuka probíhá formou cvičení v prezenčním studiu a řízených skupinových konzultací v kombinovaném studiu. Rozsah povinné účasti ve výuce: Minimální povinná účast na cvičení / semináři v prezenčním studiu je 80%, na řízených skupinových konzultacích v kombinovaném studiu 50%. Studentům, kteří nesplní povinný rozsah účasti, mohou být v průběhu semestru zadány dodatečné studijní povinnosti (v míře, která umožní prokázat studijní výsledky a získané kompetence nezbytné pro úspěšné zakončení předmětu). Způsob zakončení předmětu: Předmět je zakončen klasifikovaným zápočtem. Zápočet osvědčuje splnění stanovených studijních povinností. SPECIFIKACE POŽADAVKŮ K ZÍSKÁNÍ KLASIFIKOVANÉHO ZÁPOČTU 1. POVINNÁ ÚČAST VE VÝUCE Na cvičeních je její rozsah v prezenčním studiu stanoven minimálně na 80%, na řízených skupinových konzultacích na 50%. 2. TEST NA KLASIFIKOVANÝ ZÁPOČET (CREDIT TEST) Student bude ohodnocen známkou na základě následující tabulky: Počet bodů Známka Hodnocení 92 - 100 A výborně 84 - 91 B výborně minus 76 - 83 C velmi dobře 68 - 75 D velmi dobře minus 60 - 67 E dobře méně než 60 F nevyhověl 3. DOTATEČNÁ STUDIJNÍ POVINNOST V případě, že student bude mít účast mezi 40 a 80% (PS), resp. mezi 4- 6 vyuč.hodinami na KS (6-10 u předmětů AAJ) bude muset splnit PRE-CREDIT TEST. Teprve poté je dotyčný připuštěn k vlastnímu zápočtovému testu (CREDIT TEST). Účast pod 40% (včetně)na PS, resp. nedosahující 4 vyuč.hodin u KS (6 u předmětů B_AAJ) znamená nemožnost splnění dodatečné studijní povinnosti a hodnocení „nevyhověl“.

Anotace je stejná pro obě formy studia. Cílem výuky je prohlubovat komunikativní dovednosti v oblasti odborných okruhů s aplikací odpovídajících jazykových prostředků a tím poskytnout průpravu pro studium odborného předmětu v cizím jazyce. Důraz je kladen na samostatný jazykový projev.

Vyučovací metody: Cvičení: V úvodu je prověřováno pochopení základních problémů z předcházejícího cvičení, další část je věnována vysvětlení a procvičování dalšího tématu. Řízené konzultace: Po úvodní prověrce pochopení samostatně prostudovaných témat následuje dovysvětlení méně pochopených partií, přednesení a procvičení nového tématu. Metody hodnocení: Klasifikovaný zápočet - test(viz. Informace učitele) + splnění studijních povinností (písemná a ústní zadání), 80% docházky (KS-50%)
