Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Goal of this subject is the improvement of practical knowledge of MS Office 2010 (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint). Students will be able to handle basic work in MS Excel, advanced techniques in MS PowerPoint after finishing this course.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, a student will be able to:
- orientate in the information system;
- use basic functions, formulas and graphs in MS Excel;
- analyze and interpret data, use pivot table;
- copy objects between MS Office applications;
- create presentations in MS PowerPoint;

  • 1. Familiarization with IS VSFS, distance learning guide.
  • 2. Data format, simple formulas.
  • 3. Functions in Excel 1 (mathematical, statistical).
  • 4. Functions in Excel 2 (financial, search).
  • 5. Graphs.
  • 6. Data interpretation.
  • 7. Exercise with databases.
  • 8. Pivot tables.
  • 9. Large tables print.
  • 10. Object copying between MS Office apps.
  • 11. Objects in MS PowerPoint.
  • 12. Animation in MS PowerPoint.

Teaching methods
Fulltime study is taught by controlled seminars. Students work under the guidance of a teacher. Combined study is held by distance using prepared DSO. Minimal required attendance for fulltime students is 75 %. Required attendance for non fulltime students is 50 %. Students with ISP have the same duties, however they need not to keep the required attendance.
Assessment methods
Course completion: Credit Fulltime study: Students solve 11 tasks in seminars and submit them into IS VSFŠ to be checked. Credit will be given for correctly solved tasks from seminars. Combined study: Students solve 11 tasks and submit them into IS VŠFS to be checked. Credit will be given for correctly solved all 11 tasks.
