- Course objectives
- Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive overview and necessary knowledge of the organization and mutual functioning of individual articles of public authority and other entities involved in the issue of detecting, assessing and solving illegal acts of natural and legal persons in specific areas of social practice.
- Learning outcomes
- Studying the issue will provide students with a correspondingly high level of professional knowledge, which will be based on the scope of selected areas of questions arising from individual areas that are the subject of the teaching process. Emphasis will be placed on the relevant legal, valid legislation, corresponding to the case law of the NS, US and ECHR, including knowledge of legal practice, according to individual thematic areas. Successful passing of the credit and exam from the subject.

- 1 - Criminal process - subject, purpose, subjects appearing here. Constitutional framework. A fair trial. 2 - Stages of criminal proceedings. The role and position of individual entities at a given stage. 3 - Police of the Czech Republic. Its role in the criminal process. 4 - The Prosecutor´s Office organization. 5 - The role and activities of the public prosecutor in criminal proceedings. 6 - Judicial system in the Czech Republic, internal organization of courts. 7 - The position and role of the court in criminal proceedings. 8 - Organization of Probation and Mediation Services of the Czech Republic. 9 - The role of PMS in criminal proceedings. Application of the principles of restorative justice. 10 - Advocacy organization. Its role in the criminal process. 11 - Organization of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. 12 - The role and position of VSCR in criminal proceedings. New trends in prison. Prevention of crime.

- Lectures in full-time form, guided group consultations in combined form; The minimum compulsory participation in the full-time form of study is 75%, in guided group consultations in the combined form of study 50%.

- The course ends with a credit. The criterion for granting the credit is an oral consultation with a successful answer to 1 of the 15 test questions.
