The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The course objective is to provide the students with expert support and training to elaborate the master theses. The goal is to introduce the students to the issues of the scientific work and to acquaint them with the rules, procedures and techniques for creation of professional texts at the standard of the master's level of education.

At the end of this course, students will be able to understand the processes of elaboration of the final work, to draw up the submission and introduction of the master theses and actively make use of the information on the procedures of scientific work. On the basis of acquired knowledge, students can proceed with the formation of the master theses.
Learning outcomes
After course completion, student will be able to draw up the Assignment of diploma thesis and the Introduction of diploma thesis afterwards. It the end of the course, student will be able to prepare the diploma thesis (DT) completely in the follow-up subject Diploma Project 1 and 2. During the course, students will be guided through a seminar to observe the copyrights of ethics and the quality of creative scientific and professional work.

Teaching methods
Seminar for full-time and combined-form students. Compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study.
Prerequisite conditions for development of master theses and its successful defence in the front of the Commission is the fact that the student has acquired during the course of study all required professional competences in the field in which the student takes the state examination.
Assessment methods
Students who fail to fulfil the above mandatory scope of participation will be given additional assignments to demonstrate the required level of the subject’s knowledge.
The course is credited based on 1. Active participation during the seminars – demonstrating mastering Methodological Instructions to develop DT, 2. presentation of DT assignment approved / signed by DT supervisor, 3. presentation of Introduction part of the master theses in the range of 3-4 pages approved / signed by DT supervisor.
