- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to: 1. Understand basic theories of financial services, with an accent on macroeconomic financial stability; 2. explain principles of basic teories of financial services; 3. work with information on banking and investment services ; 4. create statistical tables and graphs on development of diferent segments of financial services; 5. make reasoned decisions about utilization of different financial services; 6.interpret the content of basic documents on financial services published by international, organizations.
- Syllabus
- 1.Introduction to the theory of financial services - basic characteristics and concepts; 2. characteristics of objective trends in the financial services; 3.current development trends of banks and banking systems; 4.theory of banks and banking systems, and its current state;5.current trends in central banking; 6. theory of central banking and its development; 7.theory of regulated and unregukated banking; 8.theory of financial stability and conditions for its preservation; 9.financial crime, its economic consequences and measures against the legalization of its revenues; 10.the theory of international economic cooperation and international institutions and organizations (important international agreements and institutions on the field of financial services;11.theory of acquisitions and mergers; 12. theory of management and corporate governance.

- Teaching methods
- Teaching consists of lectures and exercises in full-time study and distance learning with tutorials in the form of study. Minimum compulsory attendance at exercise in full-time study is 75% of students who meet required level of participation, can be given additional study requirements, such as replying to file issues, knowledge of which is necessary for successful completion of the course.
- Assessment methods
- Examination Requirements STFS: Firstly: to present a semester working paper in the range of about 10 pages, send electronically to the Vault 5035th Secondly,to pass 2 sub-tests during the semester (dates will be notified in advance). Thirdly, to pass the final test. Requirements will be further specified by teachers.
