- Course objectives
- Annotation is the same for both forms of study. At the end of the course students will be able to navigate in the system of private law and the basic principles and the principles of private regulation. Understand and understand norms of civil law as a basic private sector. Can clarify its relationship to other sectors private law, its sources, internal systematics, basic principles and institutions. In the civil law will be able to explain the legal rules governing the protection of personality, property rights, contract law, liability and unjust enrichment and the law of succession. Understand the foundations of civil procedure. In business law course is dedicated to the essential public institutes of commercial law issues to understand the legal field, the basic concepts of business law in connection with business, legislation, foreign business people, business register, the issue of competition and contract law.
- Syllabus
- This curriculum is designed for full-time and part-time study. Content of lectures: Lectures: 1 System of private rights and status of civil rights in it , concept, system, sources of civil law, civil fact, civil relations, their formation, entities, individual rights and responsibilities and the subject of civil relations, protection of civil relations. Second Property rights, the concept, classification, ownership as a fundamental property right, ownership, regulation peculiarities apartments and commercial space, easements, mortgage and lien, real estate. Third Law of Obligations (general part), contractual relations, subjects, subject, content, change, security and termination of contractual relations, types of contractual relations. 4th Law of Obligations (special section), the basic types of contracts under the Civil Code, in particular purchase, contract for work , lease, order contract, brokerage, insurance contract, regulation contest. 5th Liability for damages and unjust enrichment, prevention of damage and the importance and function of liability, assumptions of, the general and special rules of liability for damages, unjust enrichment general regulations and the specific facts of unjust enrichment. 6th Inheritance law, meaning law of inheritance, succession, inheritance, legal succession reasons, legal and testamentary heir, the forced heirs, disinheritance, protecting the lawful heir. 7th Civil proceedings, civil process, basic principles, decision makers, procedures at first instance, appeals ordinary and extraordinary, execution proceedings. In the area of commercial law: 8.Obchodní law - general provisions - the scope of the Commercial Code - term business, unauthorized business, businessman - business register - Minutes entities, the legal significance of records, collection of documents - company name - Legislation for natural and legal persons - conditions for foreign business people 9.Hospodářská competition and its protection - participation in the competition - Abuse of participation in the competition - Unfair Competition 10th Corporate Law - general provisions - 11 different types of companies 12th Trade payables - general issues of trade payables - individual types of commercial contracts.

- Teaching methods
- Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study. Students who do not fulfil the compulsory attendance may be assigned additional study tasks throughout the term (in an extent that will prove study results and acquired competencies necessary for successful completion of the course)
- Assessment methods
- Exam written test (or oral examination). Successful completion of the course is conditional on answering correctly at least 60% of the questions written test.
