The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to to introduce students with key issues of international financial relations, both in terms of macro-economic and in terms of the profile field of study. With regard to the practical requirements, the student will have an overview on the issue of foreign exchange markets, financial products, FX understands the problems and issues of direct investment and risk management. Course objectives apply to the combined studies.
Syllabus
  • 1.Balance of payments: horizontal and vertical structure, accounting   balance of payments. Balance and relationship to   exchange market 2. Exchange rate: the law of one price, purchasing power parity, interest rate parity, Fisher relations. Fundamental analysis. 3. Foreign exchange markets: structure and structure, subjects foreign exchange market, types of transactions, quotes, forex, technical analysis. 4. Foreign Currency Transactions: forward operations (closed and open foreign currency position); foreign exchange swap operations. Futures and options. - 5. International investment: foreign direct investment, their form and factors and efficiency, Portfolio investment 6. Foreign exchange exposure and currency risk, transaction, economic and financial foreign exchange exposure 7. Euro money market and euro capital market 8. Determination of exchange rate, exchange rate theory, floating and fixed exchange rates, exchange rate intervention, 9. International monetary system 10.European monetary and financial integration, 11.European monetary system, the euro and the euro area. 12.Currency and financial crisis, the theory of the origin, evolution, history of financial and currency crises, history and present.

Teaching methods
Teaching consists of lectures and exercises in full-time studies and controlled group consultations in the form of study. The scope of compulsory participation in education: Minimum mandatory participation in exercises in full-time studies is 75%, the controlled group consultations in combined form 50%. Students who fail to meet the mandatory level of participation may be given during the semester additional study obligations (to the extent that will demonstrate academic achievement and acquired competencies necessary for successful completion of course).
Assessment methods
Course is successfully completed credit and examination. Credit certifying the fulfillment of the course requirements, in particular, progress tests and self-presentation or essay, with   overall scoring 50 points. The exam consists of a written and oral examination. The written part of the examination consists of a test with a score of 50 points. The oral exam may forward a student who achieves at least 61 points from the sum of individual scores, which gained the award of credit and of the exam.
