Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquire the detailed knowledge of legal regulations which arrange the crisis management, the fundamental concepts of crisis management, emergency management authorities and the conditions for their application in practice. To provide graduates with wide knowledge in this subject and prepare them for its application in practice.

Successful passing of the exam from the subject.

  • 1. Safety CR system and its structure. Emergency management authorities. 2. Crisis Management in the Czech Republic, its mission and significance. 3. Position of public administration and local governments, its obligations under crisis conditions 4. The planning system documentation and crisis management. Processing standards and principles of contingency plans. 5. Type plans 6. Police, its mission and responsibilities for crisis situations 7. FRS and his organization 8. Integrated Rescue System in the Czech Republic. Structure, mission, mutual cooperation. 9. Emergency and Disaster Medicine 10. Logistics crisis management in health care 11. Law on Water and flood plans 12. Dangerous substances and chemical accidents, the legislative framework

Teaching methods
Theoretical training, lectures, seminar exercises, seminar work, practical exercises
Assessment methods
The course is concluded by credit and an oral exam. Credit will be given to active participation in seminars. Required attendance at seminars is at KS 50%, and at PS 75% of all exercises. The criterion for an oral exam is successfully answering   1 out of 15 test questions.
