- Course objectives
- Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to lead the students to understand the interdependence of quality management issues with all business processes. To understand the fact that quality management also includes planning - an activity that sets goals and quality requirements. It also sets out requirements for the use of quality management system elements, and last but not least, it has to define the processes and methods needed to effectively and efficiently meet the objectives and requirements of the market.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to: - understand and adopt the principles of quality management; - Understand quality issues in terms of product and service competitiveness; - use information and knowledge in a quality management environment; - to interpret issues in the area of modern approaches to quality management.
- Syllabus
- 1. Know where I want to go - a look at quality through strategic management. 2. Process management as an effective quality management tool. 3. Planning, organization, motivation, decision making, monitoring, control over quality management. 4. Human resources and their importance for quality management. 5. Planning of orders by standards, management of the environment. 6. Quality management system. 7. Follow-up standards - the most used management standards. 8. Risk management in relation to quality management. 9. Improvement methods, software support, and Industry 4.0. 10. EFQM excellence model. 11. Metrology - I can not measure what I can measure, and if I can not measure the results, I can not even drive. 12. Business level assessment, National Quality Policy, Certification Grant.

- Teaching methods
- Teaching consists of lectures and exercises, full-time study, and managed group consultations; combined form. Minimum attendance in cvičenív full-time studies is 75%, the controlled group consultation; combined form 50%. Students who fail to meet the mandatory level of participation may be given during the semester additional study obligations (to the extent that will demonstrate academic achievement and acquired competencies necessary for successful completion of course). If contact teaching and consultation in the personal presence of the student in full-time and combined form of study will be impossible, teaching is replaced by distance form of study and self-study.
- Assessment methods
- The course ends with an exam. The criterion for granting the credit is the elaboration of the semester work according to the assignment of the teacher in the range of 5-6 pages. The exam will take the form of a written test, which consists of 10 questions (minimum 60% points). If contact teaching and consultation in the personal presence of the student in full-time and part-time form of study is impossible, the completion of the course depends on the submission of a seminar paper at a sufficient level to the course submission room and passing an electronic test in is.vsfs. For successful completion of the course ISP students are required semester work in the required quality (approximately 6 pages of text).
