Cíle předmětu

The aim of the course is to provide insight into the ways in which fundamental social and cultural issues are reflected through creative forms of expression, the communication codes they utilize, and how culture and art have become tools of communication in the 20th and 21st centuries. As part of the course, students will be introduced to selected concepts in media theory, followed by examples of various media practices.

Výstupy z učení

Students will be able to identify key contemporary social and cultural topics and describe the ways in which were communicated through culture, media, and the arts. In addition, they will be able to analyze and interpret various communication strategies and will have an overview of the key contemporary art directions.
