Zatímco problematice investic do lidského kapitálu je věnována značná pozornost, v případě investic do sociálního kapitálu tomu tak není. Lidský kapitál však lze uplatnit pouze prostřednictvím sociálních sítí, tedy prostřednictvím sociálního kapitálu. Článek ukazuje, že investice do sociálního kapitálu mohou být spojeny s řadou výnosů, ale i nákladů, včetně nákladů obětované příležitosti. U sociálních sítí hraje dále významnou úlohu, zda mají tyto sítě kooperativní nebo rivalitní charakter. Článek rozebírá základní faktory, které působí na spolupráci nebo rivalitu v síti. Významná pozornost je věnována problematice redistribuce v sociálních sítích. Článek popisuje elementární redistribuční systém, pokud sociální síť tvoří tři osoby (hráči), a rozebírá možné redistribuce, které v takovém systému mohou nastat včetně vlivu na efektivitu takového systému. V závěru článek zkoumá vliv meziorganizační migrace na redistribuci a faktory, které omezuji možnosti meziorganizační migrace, zejména meziorganizační migrace výkonných osob.

Economic pays appreciable attention investments in human capital. However more little attention is paid investments in social capital, although human capital can be only applied in social networks, it means by social capitals. The article shows that investments in social capital are connected with profits and costs including opportunity costs. Social networks can be divided in cooperative and rival ones. The article explores factors influencing if a network have cooperative or rival characters and how the factors affect behaviour of the network. Main attention of the article is paid the question of redistribution in social network. The article describes the elementary system of redistribution – the case when the social network consists of three persons (players). Possible redistribution in the system is analysed including effects of the redistribution on the behaviour and efficiency of the system. The topic of migration people among organizations is dissected in the last chapter of the article including answering the question why share of migration skilled and qualified people among organizations is relatively low.
