Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to understand and explain basic institutes of criminal law, in particular the concepts of the offense, the object and the objective side of crime, the body and the subjective side of crime, as well as issues of complicity, participation or concurrence of offenses, principles of storage and types of sentences, etc. The second part of the course are selected facts nature of the offenses of special criminal law, especially crimes against law and order and basic orientation in   criminal proceedings.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to Criminal Law: basic concepts, sources of criminal law, the provisions of the Penal Code, the basic principles of criminal law, criminal offense (concept and approach), the offense, criminal forms of cooperation (general and special), object and objective page offense. 2. The body and the subjective aspect of the offense, the age of the offender, the issue of sanity. 3rd fault intention direct, indirect intention, conscious negligence, negligence unconscious. 4th Justification concurrence of offenses, types and sentencing. 5th fines, community service, prohibition of activities, imprisonment, house arrest. 6th juveniles, protective measures. 7th crimes against life and health, crimes against freedom and human dignity, crimes against property, crimes against law and order, crime officials, bribery, other public nuisance. 8. Fundamentals of criminal proceedings: Constitutional Charter TZ, principles of criminal proceedings. 9. The organization of criminal proceedings, stage of criminal proceedings, evidence of individual evidence. 10th during the criminal proceedings: pre-trial, trial, ordinary and extraordinary remedies. 11. Management before a single judge, the proceedings in juvenile cases. 12. Special control methods.

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study.
Assessment methods
Course is successfully completed credit. Criterion for the granting of credit is at the written test, which consists of thirty questions (minimum 50% points).
