- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- Course is designed to provide students with basic knowledge from the area of theory of state, constitutional development in the territory of today's Czech Republicand the valid constitutional law of the Czech Republic. In the field of theory of state, students will be able to explain the content of basic concepts, relationships between power, including a comparison of constitutional institutions and patterns of how constitutional law in selected European countries and the USA. Students will also be able to characterize the most important documents and events of constitutional development in the territory of today's Czech Republic and explain the content of some important concepts of a valid constitutional law of the Czech Republic.

- Teaching methods
- Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study.
- Assessment methods
- The course is completed with a credit and verbal exam. Credit is granted in full-time study for active participation in seminars (presentations, engage in discussion) and in part-time study for handling the essay on the topic agreed with the teacher.
