Course objectives
The course introduces the concepts of data, information, knowledge. By identifying the information needs of the user (manager) and the analysis and synthesis of a problem / a system develops students' ability to propose an adequate information system. Active mastering of the course content is realized through a case study of a model draft of management game.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: • work with concepts of data, information, knowledge, • identify information needs, • perform systems analysis and synthesis, • design information and knowledge support of processes in an organization.

Teaching methods
The course combines traditional methods of academic teaching and innovative methods of creative and experiential learning: Conventional teaching methods lecturing, briefing Activating methods discussion, heuristic methods, situational methods of and staging methods, business games complex methods group and cooperative learning, individualized learning, critical and systems thinking, brainstorming, collaborating in teams, computer-assisted simulation modeling and experimentation
Assessment methods
Lectures in full-time study. Managed consultations and tutorials in part-time study. Minimal required participation is 75% in full-time study and 50% on tutorials in part-time study. Course completion: Credit Credit will be given for correctly solved the case study.
