Course objectives
The aim is to build on the knowledge from the area of ​​controlling, financial management and business valuation, and extend and deepen this knowledge to the "risk management". At the end of this course the student will be able to understand the various types of risks - market risk (interest rate and currency risks) and credit risks. Will be able to explain the process of risk identification, risk management and reduction of risk exposure. Students will be able to understand the business processes associated with risk management   - level of "Strategic Business Unit" (SBU) and make reasoned decisions in the process of reducing     non-financial risks in institutions.

  • ontents of the course: 1 - Basic classification types (especially financial) risks. 2 - Measurement of risk. 3 - Ways of interest rate and currency risks. 4 - Management of credit risk. 5 - Institutional aspects of risk management at corporate level 6 - Institutional aspects of risk management at the level of self-employed units. 7 - Management of project risks. 8 - Management of operational risks. 9 - Case study on credit risk management. 10-11-Interpretation of selected provisions of Decree No. 123/2007 Coll. (New provisions on capital adequacy   and their application in   CR). 1-Repeat, a summary of the curriculum

Teaching methods
Teaching takes the form / lectures / seminars / workshops / full-time study / group consultations and managed in the form of study. Minimum mandatory attendance at seminars / workshops in full-time studies is 75%, the controlled group consultations in combined form 50%. Students who fail to meet the mandatory level of participation may be given during the semester additional study obligations (to the extent that will demonstrate academic achievement and acquired competencies necessary for successful completion of course).
Assessment methods
The course is concluded examination, which precedes the granting of credit. The condition for granting credit, participation in seminars min 80%. (If you opt out of the exercises can be saved student teachers develop additional essay.) Development seminar work and its presentation at the seminar. The exam consists of a written test which is followed by an oral examination.
