Cíle předmětu
1.Course purpose: to introduce and train students to the topic, methodology and practical applications of CCM with an emphasis on variations of cultures, practices and preferences of consumers around the globe; to see and understand the international and cultural dimensions of ethics and to negotiate cross-culturally, thus enabling to bridge the communication gaps for every culture. During the course, students will gain competence in terms of the formulation of the strategic and cultural competency and to be responsive in order to effectively address issues, challenges, and opportunities that arise. It will encourage students to apply theories and ideas to practice – and to relate them to their own experience – through various examples and mini-cases from the business world, and a range of practical activities. The course will address cross cultural management from all management angles by covering intra cultural, intercultural and transcultural management issues. • 2. Course objectives: Upon successful completion, students should be able to: • explain the applications of specific cultures to the management process by describing the managerial process, tasks, and issues that arises from cultural differences• understand and improve the interaction of co-workers, managers, executives, clients, suppliers, and alliance• describe formal structures of organization in a cultural context and compare organizational behaviour across countries and cultures• negotiate cross-culturally

Výukové metody
The course is delivered in the format of lectures of theoretical concepts and will include practical application in real-life situations. Full-time students are obliged to achieve a 75% attendance of seminar sessions.
Metody hodnocení
The course is completed by credit and final exam. Credit will be awarded upon the instructor's approval of compliance of a business strategy proposal produced and submitted by the student with the guidelines, which are outlined in the syllabus and which have been explained during the lecture class using methods and procedures adopted in class. Students will be eligible to take the final exam once they are given the credit. The final exam will take the form of a written test and will be graded. Course requirements Exams – Participation 30% – Simulation Exercise 30% – Final exam 40%
