Course objectives
The aim is systematic explication of selected problems and complexes of MIS, to discuss them and to have active control of subject by means of elaborating of case study.
Syllabus
  • 1. Multicriteria decision making (MDM) - 1st part: Description and characterization problems of MDM at conceptual level. Mathematical formulation of MDM problem. Preemptive method of solution of MDM problem.
  • 2. Multicriteria decision making (MDM) - 2nd part: Utility function method (method of weighted function respectively) of solution of MDM problem.
  • 3. Multicriteria decision making (MDM) - 3rd part: Goal function method of solution of MDM problem.
  • 4. Application of MDM to problems of IS - 1st part: Criteria of evaluating of IS. Hierarchical decomposition of criteria and its usage.
  • 5. Application of MDM to problems of IS - 2nd part: Possibilities of acquisition and running of IS.
  • 6. Application of MDM to problems of IS - 3rd part: Tender for acquisition of IS or for provider of IT services respectively.
  • 7. MMDIS methodology and MDM - conceptual model of developing of information strategy (IST) of a corporation.
  • 8. IT services, especially ASP, SaaS and Cloud Computing.
  • 9. Delimitation and definition of systems integration of IS, the sense of systems integration.
  • 10. The part and choice of an systems integrator.
  • 11. The systems integration in IT services (SaaS) and in Cloud Computing.
  • 12. Centralized, decentralized and distributed IS.

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars in full-time study.
Tutorials in part-time study,
Minimal required participation is 75% on seminars in full-time study and 50% on tutorials in part-time study.
Students with lower than required participation have to fulfill additional study duties.
Assessment methods
The subject ends with assessment and examination.
Examination consists of written test.
Student is succesfull if his test is assesed by minimal 65 points of maximum 100.
