- Cíle předmětu
- This course is designed for students who are interested in the Project Management field; pursue a career in Project Management or who wish to enhance their current knowledge and skills. At the centre of the course is a case study that is used to illustrate both Project Management fundamentals and methodological framework. Students will be able to understand what constitutes a project and will be able to define the key elements of a project, the need to undertake feasibility studies and to state the key objectives in planning projects.
Student should be able to work with information on how to balance scope, time and cost in Project Management. They will be able to explain the process of monitoring and controlling projects. They will learn to prepare a communication plan and a risk plan. They will learn the use of change management in projects. - Výstupy z učení
- Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: •Comprehend and apply the basic concepts relative to the life-cycle of any project; •Comprehend and apply the basic concepts relative to a Project Management methodology; •Understand the additional complexities of a project; •Understand the systemic relationship between Project Management Knowledge Areas and Process Groups no matter the project methodology deployed.

- Výukové metody
- The subject is delivered by lectures in full-time study 12 lectures of theory and real business cases, projects and simulations; demonstrating the role of Project Management in business. Compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study. Part-time students should attend 50% of the seminars.
- Metody hodnocení
- The subject is completed by credit. Credit will be granted based on: 1. Active participation in the course 2. Completion of assignments 3. Completion of Group Project and Presentation in Class.

- Mgr. Emil Velinov, Ph.D. is an academician and practiotioner in International Management, Project Management and Corporate Governance. He has been living and working in the US, Switzerland, Singapore and France. He speaks seven languages and at the moment he is working on several research-development projects in the area of SMEs Internationalization and Innovativeness with institutional partners from Norway, Iceland, Russia, Poland, etc.
