Prerequisites
This subject requires a basic awareness of the business and activities of individual business units (business, marketing, human resource management, controlling, innovation and change management, risk management, financial management), about the essence of startups.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
A business model is a creative subject based on the interconnection of knowledge and abilities gained through the study of key subjects of this bachelor program. The aim is to bring students to the knowledge that a good business plan is the foundation of any long-term successful business and as such represents by far the most effective way to reduce business risk. Its adequate presentation can lead to the acquisition of external financial resources for realization. During the course, successful start-ups will be presented, emphasis will be placed on the practical application of the acquired knowledge, the creation of a business plan in a structured structure.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course, the student will have the following professional knowledge. He will be able to:
Characterize the business environment in the Czech Republic and forms of SME support.
Explain the importance of planning for the successful implementation of a business plan.
To justify a strategic and operative view of the creation of a business plan.
Explain the procedure and methods of analyzing the business environment.
Define the structure of the plans of individual corporate departments (commercial, marketing, financial, human resource management, risk management...)
Understand the principles of successfully presenting a plan to potential investors.
During the course, the student will acquire the following professional skills. He will be able to:
work with information sources, analyze the data obtained and, based on them, set goals for individual managerial activities,
look for examples of good practice, successful business plans and start-ups,
propose a business plan,
evaluate the expected return on the investment,
present your intention to a potential investor.

  • 1. Introduction to the creation of a business plan, legal conditions of business
  • 2 How to find a promising business idea. Business opportunity - new models of marketing consumer behavior, social entrepreneurship, etc.
  • 3. Strategic, project management, project plan, structure of business plan
  • 4. Strategic analysis and its importance for the formulation of business strategy
  • 5. Formulation of marketing plan, communication plan
  • 6. Formulation of organizational plan and staff costs, IS / IT security plan
  • 7. Formulation of a business plan in three variants, choice of location, equipment of the establishment, operational plan
  • 8. Sources of financing a business plan, startup, taxes and fees
  • 9. Formulation of financial plan - founding budget, revenue and cost plan
  • 10. Risk management, ATIS software for registration, evaluation, audit, evaluation of risk impacts and their elimination
  • 11. Rhetoric - "speech of the mind". How to gain the sympathy of the investor, how to proceed in the preparation of the presentation, presentation techniques

Teaching methods
The lectures will usually include a lecture part (theory, new knowledge including practical examples) and a practical part (case study, example of a business plan). Part of the lecture may include a discussion on the given topic, group work, etc. The assignment of tasks for the home preparation of a business plan for the following lesson will be part of it.
The exercises will be focused practically on gaining knowledge using one's own judgments, they will be based on economic and critical thinking oriented to entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship, creativity, creativity, presentation and communication skills, an active approach to the world, an open approach to new forms of management, new techniques, software and learning about new business trends - see food for thought in the mandatory literature.
The business plan will be presented on a scientific basis as a sequence of interconnected projects and processes. The output will be a business plan in the required structure, which the student will present on the so-called D-Day.
Teaching in the combined study will take place in the form of a guided consultation, where, in addition to a condensed presentation of the topic, prior self-study is also assumed, so that subsequent consultation is possible.
Assessment methods
The subject ends with a CREDIT and an EXAM.
1) Full-time study: The granting of credit is tied to the fulfillment of the obligation of active attendance of min. 75% for exercises (i.e. not just mere presence, but active participation in the course of teaching, discussion, interaction, argumentation), creative solutions to topics for reflection in relation to the creation of a business plan.
The exam will consist of the introduction, presentation and defense of the business plan.
2) Combined study: The granting of credit is tied to the fulfillment of the obligation of active attendance (min. 50%) at guided consultations (however, not just mere presence, but active participation in the course of teaching, discussion, interaction, argumentation).

To participate in the exam, the business plan must be submitted in the subject drop-in office in IS.

Teacher's information
ISP students prepare at least one thought-provoking task for each core topic from the appendix of compulsory literature. They will put these in a separate folder in the subject drop-in room, then they will be given credit. The teacher assumes that those interested in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship continuously follow the magazines: Strategy, Trade News - AMSP ČR magazine, current information regarding the issue in professional discussions, MPO reports, the Czech and foreign startup scene (Czech Founders), the project Your Way https: //www.svou-cestou.cz/, etc. Students will also be made aware of individual current topics during the course. It is allowed to finish the subject even outside the exam period.
