- Teaching methods
- During the course, students will learn the theoretical foundations and practical applications of key management principles. Lectures will combine the presentation of modern knowledge and trends with practical examples from practice, while exercises will focus on teamwork, solving case studies and developing critical thinking. Students will be actively involved in discussions, group tasks and simulation games to acquire the skills needed for effective management. The teaching emphasizes the connection of theory with practice and the development of creativity, decision-making skills and strategic thinking.
Teaching in the combined study will be carried out in the form of guided consultations, which will focus on a condensed presentation of key topics. These consultations will build on the premise of previous self-study, which will allow for effective discussion, in-depth questions and the application of acquired knowledge to specific examples from practice. - Assessment methods
- The subject ends with a CREDIT and an EXAM.
Full-time study:
CREDIT: The award of credit is conditional on meeting at least 75% of active participation in the lesson (i.e. not only physical presence, but also active participation in exercises, discussions and interactions during the lesson). Emphasis is placed on the ability to argue, critical thinking and contribute to the solution of case studies (from the mandatory literature Petrů N. et al. Managerial minimum not only for family business owners) and topics for reflection.
EXAM - ORAL: The exam will take the form of a professional discussion of the exam paper, which the student will submit via the information system (IS - Odevzdávárny). The aim is to demonstrate the ability to make relevant arguments, present proposals and recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the selected management area, the resilience or sustainability of the analyzed company.
Participation in the exam is conditional on the award of credit, which the instructor will write in the student's notebook.
Combined study:
The award of credit is subject to the obligation of active attendance of at least 50% in guided consultations (i.e. not only physical presence, but also active participation in exercises, discussions and interactions during classes). Emphasis is placed on the ability to argue, think critically and contribute to solving case studies (from the mandatory literature Petrů N. et al. Managerial minimum not only for owners of family businesses) and topics for reflection.
For credit and examination, see the full-time form of education.

These works, approximately 1 word page in length, will serve to verify understanding and continuous work with the topics of the course.
Attendance and online participation: Late attendance of students to classes will not be accepted. In the case of exceptional participation in lectures via the Microsoft Teams platform, it is required to turn on the camera and microphone when prompted by the teacher to ensure interaction and full participation in the lesson. - Language of instruction
