- Course objectives
- The aim of the course will introduce students to the problems of lobbying , fundraising , methodologies, techniques and practical application of lobbying and fundraising in business practice and the practice of non-profit organizations. Introduce lobbying and fundraising as a professional and proper way of performing activity, which is a crucial element underlying set of activities in the strategic planning of the company. Plan its activities so that led to the successful establishment of the company in the market and gain a competitive advantage. Search suggestions on answering questions like: Who can be considered a lobbyist , what abilities and skills for successful lobbyists expect ? Who can be considered lobbying person ? How to define the term lobbying and fundraising ? What are the sources , functions , strategies and techniques of lobbying ? How are attempts to statutory regulation of lobbying in the Czech Republic in the EU and in EU countries? Explain the concept of corruption , corruption scandals locate and assess how they can be prevented . The portal of public procurement contracts seek to prepare the offer and lobbying activities to encourage its adoption. Define stakeholders at regional, sectoral, national and international level. Problems with whom to lobby , lobby where , what to focus on lobbying , what style lobby and what media can be used for lobbying , will be examined on a number of specific case studies within the CR and the EU. They will be examined techniques of direct and indirect lobbying , fundraising, PR searched , PA agencies and campaigns affecting either in a positive or negative effect on public opinion.
Estimated gained eligibility of students: formulate a strategic vision for lobbying or fundraising plan , analyze the environment in which they will be lobbying ( fundraising ) activities to promote , define interest groups to establish an objective , methods, procedures specific lobbying (fundraising ) activities , identify the concept of corruption , propose techniques to prevent corruption , search contract, prepare its processing , identigfikovat risk lobbyist project design tools for their management , develop a lobbyist or fundraising project for a specific organization.
Course objectives apply to the combined studies . - Syllabus
- Four areas: Lobbying - legal and legitimate form of interest mediation and influence. Social activities, clubs, groups, societies as bearers of interests Communication as the basis for the success of lobbying, fundraising Personality lobbyists, corruption, transparency in public procurement, ethics, future lobbying. Curriculum is divided into 12 thematic units, which are interconnected and linked thematically: Why lobbying - Challenges of freedom in the process of democratization and Europeanization Operationalization of the concept of lobbying, legal regulation of lobbying in the Czech Republic within the EU, in EU countries. Political, institutional, corporate lobbying. Social activities, typology, form and function of interest groups, fundraising non-profit organizations. The role of associations in a successful lobbying interests of its members in different sectors (small and medium enterprises, tourism, health, ...) in terms of European and national. Lobbying strategies, tactics and tools. Lobbying as part of the marketing mix. Public opinion and the possibility of direct or indirect influence, agenda setting, propaganda. Communication as a mutual exchange of information between a lobbyist and lobbovaným (written and oral communication, ten golden rules of verbal communication), print as part of lobbying campaigns, PA agency as a service organization for visibility and publicity issues. Personality lobbyists. Definition of the concept of corruption. Ethics and morality, public order and transparency, the course of the procurement procedure, retrieval and use for target interest groups

- Teaching methods
- Study method: 12 hours of lectures, Part-time study: 8 hours managed consultations. Classes will be held on the basis of interactive lectures, in which the theory will be complemented by practical examples. Participation will require a certain level of preparedness of students following the curriculum of each concentration to allow qualified discussion on existing topics.
Prerequisites: knowledge of the functioning of the legislative power in the Czech Republic (procedures of the legislative process), knowledge of the structure and functioning of the European Union, knowledge of the basic principles of operation of the business environment. - Assessment methods
- The course concluded with an examination by a written test. To demonstrate the knowledge gained from the course, students draw up a case study on the topic of Lobbying and Fundraising in practice and chooses to either combine or specific business name. This case study presents full-time students in a class, the group discussed, zpřipomínkována and oral exams will be analyzed in detail the process and the logic of lobbying elected metod.Studenti combined forms sent a presentation before the written exam. Power Point presentations (case study) will have the following structure: Intent, purpose described lobbying or fundraising activities. X bearer lobbying lobbying fundraiser / fundraisovaný. Description of the steps individual activities - overall framework (what, why, who, when, how), playing fields, communication tools, budget, timetable. Scale and evaluate the anticipated effectiveness of the project. Attendance at lectures (75%) and managed consultations (KS 50%) is required to the extent determined by the Student Code VŠFS and is part of the criteria for the examination. Students who fail to meet the mandatory scope of participation can be entered during the term of additional study obligations - work for "nedocházku" (to the extent that allows the student to demonstrate knowledge of the issues and the acquisition of competences necessary for successful completion of a course.)
