Cíle předmětu
The aim of the subject is to explain the basics of modern approaches, theories, trends and current models of HR management to students. On completion of this course, students should be able to understand the role of managers and HR professionals in the personnel management processes such as recruitment and selection process, learning and development process, performance management and appraisal, career management and talent management. Students should know about employee relations. Competencies: Ability to implement acquired information in real life situations. Ability to analyse information coming from different sources. Ability to make objective and just judgement. Ability to support principles of social responsibility.

Výukové metody
The course consists of lectures and seminars which require active participation of students at all stages of the teaching process. The course is comprised of classroom lecturing, case studies discussions, feedback and presentation sessions, essays writing, presentation and defence of group projects.
Metody hodnocení
The course is completed by credit and exam. Credits will be granted for full-time students based on (1) in-class active participation, (2) compiling an individual task, presentation and defence and (3) compiling a group project, (4) presentation and defence of the project including answering tutor’s questions. Full-time students will not be awarded credits if their attendance is lower than 75 % and if they fail to submit the group project as well as the individual work on time. Part-time students will not be awarded credits if they fail to submit their essay on time and if their attendance is lower than 50 %. Final written/oral exam: max 100 points. The first term of the final exam is written and other terms oral. Grades: A (90-100), B (80-90), C (70-80), D (60-70), E (50-60) F (below 50).
