- Teaching in the full-time form of study will be based on interactive lectures, in which the theory will be supplemented with practical examples, based on which the student will form an idea of the actual role of business management for its successful development. Lectures will include discussions on a given topic, group work, etc. It will also include assignments for homework preparation for the following lesson/exercise.
Teaching in the combined study will be conducted in the form of guided consultation. It assumes ongoing preparation of students for guided group consultations, which will emphasize practical applications with the aim of optimal use of knowledge from the given subject in business practice.
If contact teaching and consultation in the personal presence of the student in the full-time and combined forms of study are impossible, the teaching will be replaced by a distance form of study (online transmission via MS TEAMS) and self-study.
Lectures. Presentation of key theoretical knowledge in the field of financial, investment, innovation and strategic management of a company. Explanation supplemented with diagrams, models and visualizations of processes that will facilitate the understanding of complex links between areas of business. Discussion of current trends in business management in the Czech Republic and abroad and their impacts on practice. Appeal to connect theory and practice - each lecture block ends with a summary of how the knowledge can be applied in real companies.

Solution of case studies based on realistically traceable Czech companies awarded in business competitions (EY Entrepreneur of the Year, HK Company of the Year, Forbes TOP Family Firms). Practical tasks focused on financial management (cash-flow calculations, NPV, IRR, break-even point) and their interpretation in the context of decision-making practice. Teamwork on projects, where students formulate recommendations for improving selected business processes and defend them before the teacher and colleagues. Training in the ability to justify one's own outputs and interpret results not only quantitatively, but also qualitatively (impacts on strategy, employees, society).
Modern methods (supported by technology) - motivation, higher interactivity. Use of digital platforms (MS Teams) for interactive voting, continuous knowledge testing and feedback collection. Online work with financial calculators, simulation models and databases (annual company reports, commercial register, statistical databases of the Czech Statistical Office).
