The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to understand and explain basic institutes of criminal law, in particular the concepts of the offense, the object and the objective side of crime, the body and the subjective side of crime, as well as issues of complicity, participation or concurrence of offenses, principles of storage and types of sentences, etc. The second part of the course are selected facts nature of the offenses of special criminal law, especially crimes against law and order and basic orientation in   criminal proceedings.

  • 1 Introduction to the study of criminal law: basic concepts - the sources of criminal law - the scope TZ - crime - facts TC - developmental stages of crime - the object and the objective side of crime, the body and the subjective aspect of the crime - the age of the offender, the issue of sanity - fault - Direct vs. intent. indirect - vs conscious negligence. ignorant; 2.Okolnosti excluding illegality, abetting, concurrence of crimes - types and sentencing - fine - community service, disqualification - imprisonment - home arrest - Principles of sentencing - punishment of juveniles - protective measures; 3.Trestné actions against life and health - crimes against freedom and human dignity - crimes against property, 4 offenses against law and order - crimes of public officials - bribery - other public nuisance; 5 Basics of criminal proceedings: The principles of criminal proceedings - criminal organizations management - evidence, evidence UNIT 6 criminal proceedings: preliminary proceedings - trial - ordinary and extraordinary remedies - proceedings before a single judge - proceedings concerning juveniles.

Teaching methods
Lectures in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study
Assessment methods
The course is completed the students' test of 10-15 questions focusing mainly on the general part of criminal law in the form of "multiple choice". Express passing the test requires 60% of correct answers.
